News and Announcements
The Kahuna Bowl has been announced for Saturday, April 20th in Langley, BC. This jamboree tournament is a great opportunity for the SIFC to assemble a team from the Okanagan to compete against teams from other zones within BC. For the PeeWee/U12 age division, our own Coach Brandon Thompson who led the PeeWee Green Jr. Sun to the 2018 Provincial Championship, has been selected as Head Coach to build the team representing the SIFC.
All PeeWee/U12 age players who participated in the 2018 Tackle Football season (birth years 2007, 2008) are invited to attend the zone team tryouts being held at the KU/Valley First Soccer Centre dome. The dome is located by the H2O Centre in Kelowna at 4075 Gordon Drive. Registration for tryouts begins at 11:30am and the evaluations run from 12pm to 2:30pm. It is free to attend tryouts and everyone is encouraged to come out for the experience and the opportunity to build your skills.
Once the team has been assembled a practice plan will be established as well final costs associated with making the team. (Expected to be $75 plus any associated individual travel costs)
We know the timeline is short, as details have just been confirmed, but we hope to see a great turn out so mark your calendar!
